Von Himmel hoch da komm ich her,
Ich bring’ euch gute neue Mähr,
Der guten Mähr bring ich so viel,
Davon ich sing’n und sagen will.

Euch ist ein Kindlein heut’ gebor’n
Von einer Jungfrau auserkor’n,
