Johann Pachelbel
Johann Pachelbel (1653-1706) is best known for a single piece, his Canon in D. However, he composed hundreds of works for organ and other keyboard instruments, as well as vocal and chamber music, and is viewed as an important part of the Baroque stylistic development that reached its peak with the works of J.S. Bach.
